Dr. Inna Magner earned her veterinary degree from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice, Slovak Republic in 2002. She moved to the US and obtained her Veterinary license in 2005 from Purdue University, Indiana, followed by a VCA internship program with a referral facility in Sacramento, CA.

In 2006 Dr. Magner joined a busy small animal practice in the Bay area with a focus on client education, preventative care, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. In 2015 she became certified in small animal acupuncture through the Chi Institute in Florida, followed by certification in Veterinary Tui Na- acupressure in 2018. The addition of traditional eastern medicine to address chronic and acute pain as well as endocrine, behavioral and metabolic disorders has been a valuable tool specifically for her geriatric patients.

In 2015 Dr. Magner launched a house call service with a focus on integrative veterinary care while continuing to practice general medicine working as a relief veterinarian throughout the Bay area. She became fear Free certified in 2020, embracing the core principles of focusing on gentle handling techniques, environmental calming and patient focused care. In 2024 Dr. Magner took ultrasound training and continues to practice whenever possible.

In early 2026 She joined South Hillsdale Animal Hospital as a part time veterinarian. Her current work days are Mondays and Tuesdays. When not at work, Dr. Magner has been spending her time exploring beautiful California with her husband and 2 children, she is also an avid birder, an amateur photographer and water color artist. For the past few years she has been dedicating the remainder of her time to volunteering with local non profit environmental groups. Her fur babies are two rescue cats named Goose and Blueberry and a super energetic rescue dog named Amber.
